Customer Support Specialist

Job Duties:

  • Provide customer support for sales of Berner products
  • Be the initial contact for troubleshooting calls from customers or sales representatives
  • Resolve problems related to product performance or installation: this may cover wiring issues, motor or fan performance, mechanical construction, or any other type of problem
  • Maintain a record of all customer contacts in CRM
  • Process orders for replacement parts
  • Handle return material authorizations (RMA’s). Ensure they are quickly and accurately processed through company system, and that any returned items are promptly inspected and then returned to stock or discarded
  • Assist the Inside Sales associates in resolving customer problems
  • Accompany Sales Managers on trips to sales reps, customers, and trade shows, as requested
  • Other duties as requested

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associate degree, or significant experience, in a field related to mechanical or electrical engineering technology
  • Computer literacy, with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Travel as needed for sales calls, training sessions, and trade shows
  • Work occasional overtime as needed to resolve customer problems
  • This is not a flextime position, as this person must be available during core business hours

Interactions:

  • Report to sales manager
  • Work closely with others in the sales department, as well as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and administration
  • Establish a working rapport with the independent sales representatives
  • Support the sales team, as well as the overall Berner International team
