Sales Manager

Job Duties:

  • Manage independent sales representatives.
  • Manage existing regional accounts.
  • Develop new regional accounts based on annual growth targets.
  • Drive and support overall sales force effectiveness.
  • Review and analyze market and territory sales
  • Travel to visit representatives and to attend trade shows
  • Prepare quotations & submittals
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of Berner and competitor’s products
  • Learn and utilize company CRM system
  • Present Lunch-N-Learns with engineers and architects
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations
  • Visit sales representatives for training and sales calls
  • Monitor sales of existing independent sales representative’s
  • Interview, hire, and train independent sales representatives for poor performing areas
  • Develop national accounts
  • Work with inside sales support staff
  • Effectively communicate with all departments

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of technical products (mechanically and electrically inclined)
  • Interrupting written specifications, blueprint drawings, and equipment schedules
  • Analyzing and decision-making skills
  • Experience with a computer (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Previous experience working with independent sales representatives (not required, but a plus)
